Lemuria Land Nosy Be

In Nosy Be near Andoami /Hell ville situated a bit outside of the city in direction north west is Lemuia Land.  Entrance was changed after Covid, now madagassian pay 10.000 Ar, foreigners pay 45.000 Ar as by beginning of Septenbre 2022. Before it was 2.000 Ar for native and 10.000 for foreigners.    Lemuria Land is a Park that gives a view on Fauna and Flora of Madagascar. Here you'll see not only the typical Lemure, you'll also see flowers and plants from the island.    There are variety of Lemure from all over the country brought to this park to demonstrate the diversity.   BambĂș Lemure Land turtle They can become over 200 years old.  they jump from tree to tree and walk on the way.  You can give them Bananas and they come to eat from your hands.  Male are brown and female black.   They are so cute   Camaleones adapt perfectly to their surroundings if the tree is green they become green, if brown it will be brownish.   They really walk slow   Beside Bananas and hibiscus, here

  When driving through the country an looking at the fields you can see collections of bricks and sometimes walls of then which on the first view look like a building.  With a closer look you can see that it's actual made of soil and put in form of a brick.     They then are layed out for drying in the sun or stapled for transport. For hardening they often use straw or the plant remains from rice production and put it between the stapled bricks and burn it.   A side effect on taking the soil for the bricks is the creation of this terraced fields that you see all over the place.    On one hand side it's for claiming the territory on the other hand for separating the seeds, having on one area potatoes, on the other beans or rice etc.

Antananarivo

The Capitol of Madagascar is the economic and administrative centre of the country. With ca.100 km² expansion and 4 million habitants the biggest city of Madagascar.  It was founded 1625 by Merina king Andrianjaka.   Antananarivo was called Analamanga - the "blue forest" - until 1610, when the Merina king Andrianjaka had his palace built on the highest hill in the city (more than 1,300 m above sea level) and built everything there. first Rova with the Besakana Palace to post a garrison of 1,000 men there. The old Analamanga then took the name of Antananarivo: the "city of the Thousand", in reality a fortified village, protected by numerous circular ditches and whose access is via seven megalithic gates. It is from the site of the first Rova that the city develops gradually to extend over the whole of the hill (and become the current historical core).  An atypical destination that attracts many visitors every year is the Ampefy region. Local and foreign tourists are constantly hurrying to this part of the island to admire its exotic spl   Lake Itasy   Lake Itasy is the biggest lake in Madagascar at an Altitude 1,221m to 1,221m over sea and 2,979 ha. Located 10 km south-east of Analavory and 25 km north-west of Soavinandriana. It is a freshwater crater-lake with marshy areas in its southern and eastern parts, lying within a steep-sloped volcanic massif. It is permanent, with seasonal variations in the water-level, having an average depth of 4 m but reaching up to 10 m at its centre. The Andranomena and Mariandrano rivers feed the lake in the east, while the Lily river flows out of the lake. Taking a walk through the garden of Andina I'm a little bid sad, that it is the beginning of the vegetation as it's the end of rain season, which feels like spring.   In the terraced fields they don't only plant rice ... ... here you can also find vegetables and fruits  like  Beans    Carrots   Potatoes     Cale   Papaya   Bananas   Ananas    This concludes the excursions through the fields of Andina
